After a record breaking collection of about 33.10 crores on the Eid day, Chennai Express has continued its good work on 2nd day Saturday. According to some early reports, Shahruk Khan and Deepika Padukone starer Chennai Express has got better occupancy in the early shows of 2nd day Saturday than Friday. The evening shows of 2nd day Saturday are already booked. So we can expect more then 35 crores collection on 2nd day. Chennai Express had collected 6.75 crores with paid previews. So, after the end of 2nd day Saturday, the total box office collection of Chennai Express can be around 74.85 crores.

Chennai Express has improved its occupancy in single screens across India by 10 % on 2nd day Saturday. The multiplexes are already going houseful. We are not been able to remember a movie which got this kind of response in India. The 2 day collection of nearly 75 crores says it all. There are news that the 3rd day Sunday can be even better than this. We are hoping even better collection on Sunday.
