So after the end of 8 days or 2nd Friday, Chennai Express has taken the total box office collection to 169.60 crores.

Chennai Express now has 1,600 screens across India and OUATIMD has 2,500 screens. Movie got almost houseful occupancy on the 2nd Friday. The news are that Chennai Express can have the similar kind of run in the second weekend also. The trade experts are saying that Chennai Express can reach 200 crores mark in this week. If something like this happens then the record of movies like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (190 crores), Ek Tha Tiger (194 crores) and 3 Idiot (203 crores) will be in danger.
