Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), which had launched the mini-bike Navi at the Auto Expo last month, has started dispatching the vehicle from its Tapukara, Rajasthan, facility. The Navi, which the company calls “India’s first crossover two-wheeler”, has attracted over 1,000 bookings in a little over a month’s time.
The company says the Navi—which gets a 109.2cc engine—offers the convenience of a scooter with a CVT automatic gearbox, and the capabilities of a motorcycle. The weird-looking Navi’s name is short for “New Additional Value for India” and the pricing starts from R39,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
