Yes, that’s true. Co-incidentally Salman Khan starrer Sultan and Aamir Khan’s December release, both revolve around the wrestling world. If this was any less, we recently learnt a shocking thing that Sultan‘s first draft was named Dangal.
According to a report on Bollywoodlife, the director Ali Abbas Zafar mentions that since in Haryana, the wrestling matches held locally are called ‘Dangal’, he found the name fitting enough for the film.

Soon after a few changes when the film was titled Sultan, he still was happy enough since it went better with Salman’s personality.
After sending a first draft to Aditya Chopra in 2012, Zafar learnt that Aamir too, working on a film based on the sport. He immediately discussed with Dangal‘s director Nitesh Tiwari about the same and was happy to learn that both films are based on completely different situations.
Now, Sultan will be releasing this Eid and Dangal in December. Tell us, which film are you more excited for?
