Ranbir Kapoor’s this Wednesday released movie Besharam is not having a kind of time which his previous movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani had. After a rocking start on holiday of 2 October, Besharam has registered a big drop on the 2nd day. The updated figures of both 1st and 2nd day are available. According to trade expert Taran Adarsh, Besharam’s first day collection is 21.56 crores and on 2nd day, movie’s collection is only 7.13 crores. So in the first two days, movie has done the business of approx 28.69 crores.

The reports are little better for the 3rd day Friday. For Besharam, weekend had already started on Wednesday but in trade experts term, the real weekend for movie starts on Friday. As per early estimation, on the 3rd day Friday, Besharam has got 55 – 60 % occupancy in the early and noon show. It is 10 -15 % more than 3rd day Thursday. Movie is expected to maintain this occupancy in the evening an night shows. So as per early estimation, Besharam’s 2nd day collection can be around 11 – 12 crores and 3 days total can be around 40 crores.

Besharam is getting the effect of all the low reviews and negative mouth publicity. After the first day show, movie did not get much appreciation from most of the audience. According to some audience, Besharam is the similar masala Bollywood movie which they have already seen in number of movies. The worst thing for Besharam is that lots of people cancelled their Besharam show and went for Grand Masti who is in its 4th weekend.
Besharam was released with lots of buzz and moolah but after the first three days, movie seems to have lost everything of that. Now movie is only running on Ranbir’s popularity and previous hits. The makers will be hoping for it to pick in the coming days of weekend. Movie’s budget is around 50 crores so after the end of 1st weekend we will be able to say that whether Besharam is a hit or not.
