Last two Friday released movies Satyagraha and Madras Cafe both has completed another wee at the box office. Both Satyagraha and Madras Cafe were political or social issue based movies and collected decent collection. Both the movies had got very good reviews from both critics and audience. Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha crossed the 50 cores mark in the 1st week and John Abraham’s Madras Cafe crossed the 44 crores mark in 2 week.
Satyagraha 1st Week Collection Report
Satyagraha is a multi starer Prakash Jhan movie and has actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai, Amrita Rao. Movie maintained a steady pace at the box office in the working days of the week. After the weekend of 39.10 crores Satyagraha collected Mon 5.10 cr, Tue 4.10 cr, Wed 3.60 cr and 4 cr on Thu. So movie finished the 1st week with the collection of 55.90 crores. Movie is now Prakash Jha’s most successful movie in 1st week after beating Raajneeti’s 1st week collection of 54 crores.

Madras Cafe 2nd Week Collection Report
After some controversy, John Abraham and Nargis Fakri starer Madras Cafe somehow managed to cross 44 crores at the box office. Based on the conspiracy of Srilanka’s civil war and death of former Indian P.M. Rajiv Gandhi, Madras Cafe collected low in the working days of 2nd week. Movie’s 2nd week collection in last four days is Mon 80 lakh, Tue 1 cr, Wed 90 lakh, Thu 1 cr. So the 2nd week collection is 10.70 crores and 2 week’s total box office collection is 44.70 crores.
