In the weekend of Chopra Sister, younger Parineeti has come out as the winner at the box office. Parineeti Chopra and Shushant Singh Rajpoot starer Shuddh Desi Romance has collected way more than Priyanka Chopra starer Zanjeer. According to the box office websites, Shuddh Desi Romance has finished the 1st weekend with the 23.35 crores box office collection and Zanjeer only finished with 9 crores. Shuddh Desi Romance 1st Weekend Collection
Shuddh Desi Romance was very limited but very well promoted before the release by the cast and makers. The interesting issue and good promotional strategies paid off for the movie and it collected very good collection in 1st weekend. Shuddh Desi Romance collected 23.35 crores in the 1st weekend. Movie started the Friday with 6.45 crores and maintained it on Saturday. On 2nd day Saturday, SDR collected another 7.90 crores. Till the 2nd day, movie had only 1050 screens but it increased on Sunday due to the bad performance of Zanjeer. On the 3rd day Sunday, SDR collected approx 9 crores and finished the 1st weekend with impressive 23.30 crores.

Priyanka Chopra, Ram Charan and Sanjay Dutt starer Zanjeer has failed to impress audience in the north Indian or Mumbai circuit. Despite having more than 2,000 screens across India, Zanjeer’s hindi version only collected only 9 crores in India. Zanjeer’s collection in the 1st weekend breaks as 3.6 crore Friday, 2.9 crore Saurday and 2.5 crores on Saturday. The bad thing is that movie has already started losing screens to Shuddh Desi Romance. The only good news is that the south version of movie named Toofan is collecting decent collection in south.
