Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish 3 is proving himself the king of box office this week. Since the adult comedy movie Grand Masti, domestic box office was witnessing pretty average occupancy and collection. Two big name Akshay Kumar and Ranbir Kapoor gave two flops at the box office in Besharam and Boss. But now the Indian box office is ready for one of biggest Bollywood movie in terms of collection. Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi starer Krrish 3 can finish the first week close to 200 crores.
In the first 5 days of release, Krrish 3 has collected more than 175 crores. Looking at the Monday and Tuesday’s collection, Krrish 3 will definitely collect more than decent collection. Since movie has got good reviews and getting good mouth to mouth publicity so even an average occupancy on Wednesday and Thursday in approx 4,000 screens will give this sci fi movie more than 25 crores. So it is likely that Krrish 3 will finish the first week with more than 200 crores collection.
After the first 3 days during which everyone was busy in preparation of Diwali, movie started to break most of collection records set by many other movies. Movie is currently holding the record of best collection on any day (25.91 crores on Monday). Now it can be the first movie to reach 200 crore club in just 1st week. It is a elite club in which only two movie 3 Idiot (203 crores) and Chennai Express (227 crores) are present.
Since this weekend no big movie is releasing so Krrish 3 will have a smooth run in the 2nd weekend too. We don’t think that Satya 2 will have a huge impact on Krrish 3′s occupancy. Now if all goes well then Rakesh Roshan’s directorial venture Krrish 3 can break all time best collection for a Bollywood movie which is currently held by Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express (227 crores). Overall Krrish 3 is setting the benchmark of collection for upcoming Bollywood movie which will be hard to break.
